# Snip

> Snip is an AI background remover, object eraser and photo enhancer for iPhone, iPad and Mac. One App Store app (ID 1561559135) and one subscription for all Apple devices. Not related to Windows Snipping Tool or Mathpix Snip.

Key facts:

- iPhone and iPad (iOS/iPadOS 15.0+): remove backgrounds (PNG export up to 4096 px, 8192 px with PRO), erase people and objects, enhance and unblur photos, templates and graphic editor, batch mode up to 10 photos. Photos are processed on Snip's server, so an internet connection is required. No text recognition (OCR).
- Mac (macOS 15.6+, Apple silicon and Intel): remove backgrounds, erase objects, enhance and upscale up to 8192 px, copy text from the screen with ⇧⌘8 (OCR), capture a screen area with ⇧⌘2, batch processing. Everything runs on the Mac and works offline.
- Free: 3 background removals a day on iPhone and iPad (the limit renews 24 hours after the first free removal); 3 edits a day on Mac, and text recognition on Mac is free. The eraser, enhancer, Refine Edges, ×2 export, templates, graphic editor and batch mode on iPhone and iPad require PRO. The Mac daily limit resets at local midnight.
- PRO (US App Store): $9.99 per month, $19.99 per year, or $39.99 once for lifetime access. One subscription works on iPhone, iPad and Mac with the same Apple Account.
- Developer: Ilya Razuvaev, an independent developer. On the App Store since April 2021; rated 4.7 on the App Store with 1,200+ ratings in the US.
