Remove objects from photos in a few taps: brush over a stranger in the background, power lines, a trash can or a caption, and Snip fills in the area to match its surroundings. It works on any iPhone or iPad with iOS 15.0 or later and on Macs with macOS 15.6 or later, including models that don’t support Apple’s Clean Up.
Brush over what you want gone, or tap an object or text that Snip has already found in the photo. Finding objects happens on your device; the erasing itself runs on our server.

Apple’s Clean Up tool in Photos needs Apple Intelligence. On iPhone that means iPhone 15 Pro or a newer model; on iPad, iPad mini (A17 Pro) or an iPad with M1 or later; on Mac, a Mac with Apple silicon. On other devices, the tool simply isn’t there.
Snip doesn’t depend on Apple Intelligence: the eraser works on any iPhone or iPad with iOS 15.0 or later and on Macs with Apple silicon or Intel processors.
Both versions erase people and objects, but they differ in where the work happens and what’s free.

Yes. On iPhone and iPad, Snip finds text in the photo so you can select it in a tap. On Mac, brush over the text you want to remove.
On Mac, yes: erasing runs on your Mac. On iPhone and iPad, the eraser needs an internet connection because photos are processed on our server.
